Modern Home And Garden Tips

June 28, 2018 by Carter Leave a Comment

If you’re looking for hacks on how to maintain a clean home from the neighbour goods blog and a beautiful garden simply continue reading to discover a few helpful home and garden tips.

Modern home and garden tips:

Spray your gardening tools with a silicone spray

It’s well worth spraying your gardening tools such as a shovel with silicone spray, which will make working in soil and dirt a breeze as your tools will glide through the dirt and soil with ease. As the soil and dirt will fall off your tools and won’t coat your tools, which would make working in your garden unnecessarily challenging.

Fill one-third of your pots with packing peanuts

If your potted plants are heavy to move around, simply fill the bottom third of your pots with packing peanuts and then place your soil and potted plant on top of your packing peanuts and you should find that your pots are far more manageable to lift. Just be sure to place a layer of landscape fabric between you packing peanuts and soil to separate each section.

Iron your clothes when they’re still a bit damp from being washed

The best time to iron your clothes is when they’re still a little damp and the moisture will help release any wrinkles in your clothing’s fabric. Alternatively, use a spray bottle to lightly spray all of the clothes which you need to iron.

Use a rubber glove in order to remove unwanted pet hair from your furniture

If your beloved pets malt all over your furniture, simply use a damp rubber glove in order to remove your pet hair from your furniture pieces such as your sofa.

Avoid cleaning your windows on sunny days

It’s well worth avoiding cleaning your windows on sunny days as your window cleaner may dry out too quickly, which will cause ugly spots and streaks to appear on your windows.

Use two doormats instead of one

To avoid bringing dirt into your home, place a doormat outside your front door and a doormat directly inside your front door, to give guests two opportunities to clean their shoes before they enter your home. As dirt is a pain to remove from light colored carpet.

Use baking soda to remove stains from your walls

If you can spot stains on your walls, simply use a damp sponge which has baking soda sprinkled onto it in order to scrub any stains off your walls. Examples of which may include pen marks or dirt.

Use a lemon which has been cut in half in order to clean your cutting boards

If you’re looking for an effective way to thoroughly freshen up your kitchen’s cutting boards. Simply cut a lemon in half and rub half a lemon over your cutting boards in order to sanitize your cutting board and to remove any food stains from your cutting boards.

If you try out some of the tips listed above and are amazed by the results, make sure to share them with your family and friends.
