Frequently wipe down your detergent drawers with a damp cloth or kitchen paper. If detergent is starting to stick, remove the drawer and soak it in hot water.
Inspect the hoses of your machine for kinks and signs of wear. Most manufacturers advise changing your machine hoses every five years to wear on the side of caution.
