Its a pretty good general tripod with the ability of becoming a monopod. It can get very tall.

Sciencelifeny's Personal Story: I like this tripod. Not too heavy and not a pro unit, but it has some nice features like a monopod, it can go up 6 feet+, and a nice flipping stage for portrait or landscape picture taking. It's panning is not smooth, it doesn't have an oiled head, and I have found the tension settings to be lacking. But it's a cheap but sturdy unit.
