Do-it-Yourself's Personal Story:
One sleeping bag has a big, patched hole in the side. It's still functional, just not pretty. The stuff sack it's stored in also has a hole, but never got around to patching it.
The second bag is in better condition, but they work equally well. Both are recently washed and are clean, though dusty.
