Doing Stuff > Having Stuff

We love the Unclutterer! They've always got really great advice on how to live a more simple, happier life by getting rid of clutter. Right on!

Today, Erin summarizes a new report conducted by Cornell University that found that enjoyable experiences bring more happiness than buying and owning stuff. Read her post here.

Erin suggests that instead of buying new stuff with your extra money, you should put it toward paying for new experiences. According to the Cornell study, "buyer's remorse" is more often suffered by purchasers of stuff than vacationers. When is the last time you bemoaned your choice of hike or bike ride or tropical hut? Spend your time and money wisely! Instead of buying something new tomorrow, go DO SOMETHING NEW.

And borrow what you need right here on NeighborGoods. Chances are, someone near you already owns whatever you're looking for.
